Permanently Deactivate Your Facebook Account After a 30-day holding period, your Facebook data is gone forever. Once your account is deleted, you will have to reactivate it to download your Facebook data. ![]() Note: It’s important to do this before proceeding to delete your account. At the bottom is a link to “download a copy of your Facebook data,” where you can do exactly that. You will be presented with a list of general account settings. You can do this by clicking on the down arrow in the top right-hand corner of the screen and selecting Settings. Download your Facebook dataĪs you’re looking to delete Facebook permanently, you may wish to save your data first.
